Tamnavulin Single Malt Whisky
Tamnavulin Distillery sits well up the valley of the River Livet on the northern edge of the Cairngorm Mountains. Construction of this Speyside malt whisky distillery began in 1965 and production commenced the following year with most of its whisky destined for blends. Following closure in 1995 Tamnavulin re-opened in 2007 but there will be a shortage of single malts of specific ages from this distillery for a while yet. Most of the spirit distilled in its six stills still flows into blends.
