- Port Charlotte (Bruichladdich) PC5 Evolution 1st Release
Port Charlotte PC5 Evolution Islay single malt Scotch whisky distilled at Bruichladdich distillery. A historic bottling, this first limited release – the vision of master distiller Jim McEwan – was distilled in 2001 and bottled 2006.
One of 6,038 individually numbered bottles making this, the 1st ever distillery bottling very collectable and increasingly sought after.
Medium weight, alive, muscular, power-packed. No extra sensory perception required, it’s 100% gale force Islay. A rediscovery of hand-made single malt – the way it used to be. All the aromas found on the nose are swept onto the palate with incredible peat-fire warmth, filling the heart with passion. It’s young whisky and old skills in absolute harmony; not for the feint-hearted
