Glenglassaugh 35 Year Old 1978 vintage Massandra Connection Highland single malt Scotch whisky. Vatting of three Madeira cask from the Massandra Winery in Crimea. Bottled 2014 and limited to 1,320 bottles.
Nose: Rounded, creamy notes of cantaloupe melon open to beautiful depths of gentle sweet oak. Waves of a subtle sea air, coastal note balances the rich ripe fruit character.
Palate: A fantastic contrast of luscious ripe melon and sharp sour plums softens to boiled sweets and dried apricots with the smallest hint of ripped mint in the background. A gentle dry oak note sweetens to a dusting of icing sugar on the palate giving yet another dimension to the ever changing finish.

Glenglassaugh Single Malt Whisky
Glenglassaugh Distillery is a Highland malt whisky distillery situated at Sandend Bay near Portsoy on the Banffshire coast with views north over the Moray Firth and the North Sea and is one of just a very few truly coastal Highland malt whisky distilleries. Glenglassaugh Distillery was established by James Moir and opened in 1875. This distillery was substantially re-built in 1959 and re-opened in 1960 only to close in 1986. However, Glenglassaugh was back in production in December 2008 and is now owned by Brown Forman of America.
