Dufftown single cask #18582. Full strength bottling of the Speyside single malt located in the heart of whisky country.
Berrys' Own Selection.
The nose gives Danish pastry notes mingled with grassy, toasty and earthy nuances. There is a little grape skin and under-ripe banana. The palate is broad and fattens to reveal toasted oak, liquorice, blackcurrant and fizzing citrus. A smooth and somewhat savoury finish rounds off the experience.
Dufftown Single Malt Whisky
Dufftown Distillery was established in 1895 on the site of Pittyvaich corn mill on the Dullan Water just to the south of Dufftown and in the heart of Scotland’s Speyside whisky region. Despite its cramped situation Dufftown Distillery’s six stills produce around six million litres of alcohol per year making it a top ten Scottish malt distillery in terms of output. Little spirit emerges as single malt since most flows into Bell’s blends but its Singleton of Dufftown range has increased to include Tailfire, Sunray and Spey Cascade and independent bottlings are available from Cadenheads and Signatory Vintage.
