Dalwhinnie 1997 Distillers Edition Lowland single malt Scotch whisky. Double matured in Oloroso Sherry casks; the result is a sweetness and depth of character quite different to the standard 15 year old.

A sweetness on the lips, moving to well-defined malt cask-wood flavours. Rich, longer finnish than usual, honey finish with hints of sweet oak.

Dalwhinnie Distillery was established in 1897 at Dalwhinnie in Scotland’s Highland whisky region. Situated at an altitude of just over 320m above sea level this is the second highest working distillery in Scotland. Dalwhinnie malt whisky Distillery continues to operate with just a single pair of stills and two round wooden worm tubs. Most popular amongst the distillery bottlings are the Dalwhinnie 15 Year Old and Distillers Edition. Visitors are welcomed at the Dalwhinnie Distillery visitor centre where distillery tours are available.
