Nose. Sweetly mellow, with vanilla, poached fruits and citrus peel.
Palate. Rich, smooth, and full bodied with vanilla, raisins and liquorice.
Finish. Long and dry with a sweet hint of sherry.
Craigellachie Single Malt Whisky
Craigellachie Distillery sits in the village of the same name having been designed by the renowned distillery architect Charles C. Doig. It was founded by Alexander Edward and Peter Mackie in 1888 and opened in 1891. Craigellachie is one of the few remaining malt whisky distilleries that continues to cool its new spirit in traditional worm tubs. Most of this Speyside whisky flows into White Horse and Dewar’s blends of scotch but it is available in a range of independent bottlings.
