Bladnoch 8 Year Old Wigtown Festival Lowland single malt Scotch whisky. Rare 1st edition bottling under the stewardship of the current owners. Launched at the Wigtown Book Festival 2009.
Nose is medium bodied and malty, showing lemon, a slight medicinal note, some cereal and toffee/vanilla; water softens it and brings out hazelnuts, zesty lemons and grapefruit. Mediun-dry palate and rich with good body, vanilla and an oily, unctuous smoothness, very clean and with a character of American cream soda.
