Aultmore Distillery
Aultmore Single Malt Whisky
Founded in 1895, Aultmore’s two stills were fire up two years later. Alexander Edward choose a fine Speyside location for his distillery between Keith and Buckie, surrounded by arable farmland and abundant water from the Foggie Burn. Aultmore Station which opened in 1884 on the Keith to Portessie section of the Highland Railway enabled this whisky to be whisked off to market. The original buildings were demolished and the distillery reconstructed with four stills in 1971. Whilst official distillery releases of Aultmore Distillery are few it is included in the Cooper’s Choice and Carn Mor Strictly independent bottlers ranges.
