Aberlour A'bunadh is a natural single cask strength malt whisky. Taken directly from specially selected sherry casks it is bottled as simply as possible without the use of modern filtering methods or the addition of water.
The nose is an intoxicating aroma of mixed spices, praline and spiced orange, harmonising with rich, deep notes of Oloroso sherry. On the palate orange, black cherries, dried fruit and ginger, spiked with dark bitter chocolate and enriched with sherry and oak. Full-bodied and creamy.
Aberlour Single Malt Whisky
Aberlour Distillery was founded in 1826 in the town of Aberlour in Scotland’s Speyside whisky region. It sits on the northern edge of Ben Rinnes Mountain which accumulates snow and rainwater across its peaty moors and supplies cold, soft spring water to the distillery. Around a half of the spirit produced from Aberlour’s four copper stills is destined for single malts, including the popular Aberlour A’bunadh batched single malt whisky matured solely in ex-sherry casks. Aberlour offers distillery tours and the distillery is an established participant in the popular Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival.
